Clean Taco Seasoning
So, I love tacos. Taco salad, crunchy tacos, soft tacos, chicken, beef, whatever, no taco discrimination here! What I don’t love is MSG, preservatives or sodium. This taco seasoning gets rid of all the garbage and tastes DELICIOUS! You can adjust the quantities to your family’s liking but right now I would say it’s darn near perfect. Not too hot, with the perfect balance of flavors.
Works great on ground beef, steak, chicken and ground turkey. As soon as I can find more things to put it on, I probably will.
When I make this recipe, 1 tablespoon equals 1 part. I like to have some on hand for a quick meal, but feel free to use 1 teaspoon equals 1 part to make a smaller batch.
- 3 parts Chili Powder
- 2 parts Cumin
- 1 part Paprika
- ½ part Cayenne
- 1 part Oregano
- 1 part Garlic Powder
- 1 part Onion Powder
- ¼ part Salt
- ½ part Black Pepper
- Mix well and store in an air tight container.
- To use add 2-3 tablespoons of seasoning per 1 pound of meat while browning.
- Once browned add ½ cup water and stir to combine.
- Cook over medium high heat stirring occasionally until water has evaporated.
