Alright everyone, here is the first fitness related post for this page. Instead of throwing a bunch of tips at you that you could probably find on Pinterest, I am going to tell you about my journey, which culminated in the start of this website and, coincidentally, my crochet “habit.”
Prior to 2009, I was always one of those people who never worried about their weight. I was active enough to not be considered lazy, but I ate what I want and never went to the gym. That all came to a screeching halt in 2009, when I suffered a pretty major back injury during military training. With two torn, and three slipped, discs in my lower back, I wasn’t doing much walking. I gained almost 50 pounds before my surgery and over the course of my recovery. The worst part was the doctors told me that I would most likely never run again and there was a good chance I would be in pain for the rest of my life.
